Year 3’s science focus this half term is teeth, so this afternoon we had a visitor in from the NHS Foundation Trust to talk to the children about keeping their teeth healthy. We enjoyed learning lots of new and interesting facts about our teeth and promised that we would look after our precious teeth more carefully to keep them as healthy as possibly for as long as possible.
Year 3R have had a fantastic time selling smoothies today! Thank you to everybody who brought in their £1 and bought one. We hope you enjoyed them! Now all we need to do is work out how much profit we made! 💷💷💷🍊🍒🍌🍓
Year 3 had a very exciting afternoon being visited by the world-famous smoothie maker, Mr McMango. A few weeks ago, the children wrote letters to ask him to come and show them how to make smoothies and today he actually came! Year 3 now know exactly how to make delicious, healthy smoothies, ready for selling them in the community room on Thursday and Friday.
Don’t forget to bring your £1 so that you don’t miss out! 🍊🍓🍌🍒🍏
Year 3 have been thinking about the fallen soldiers today by drawing the beautiful poppy fields using oil pastels. #wewillremember
Year 4 had lots of fun on Monday when we went to Chester. We became Roman soldiers and patrolled the streets of Chester and we even got to watch a gladiator fight in the amphitheater (Miss Burkmar was victorious). We then went back back in time and found out lots of new information about the Romans. We got to explore the ‘hands on’ room where we dressed up, got locked up and even smelt a Roman latrine. It was a jam packed day and one we will always remember.
Today has been the first half of Year 2J’s last Forest School session. We have been mostly exploring, toasting marshmallows and getting very wet! But we still absolutely loved it.
Today Years 3 and 4 had a surprise visit from the Great Manchester Mounted Police! We had a fantastic time listening about the horses and asking lots of great questions. We even got to stroke them!
